The Packs Are Done!

I've traced and cut out 1,280 triangles for the Triangle Quilt, with the help from my gorgeous mother Amanda and very lovely friend Britt. The instruction sheets are printed, the envelopes are labeled so I guess once I put everything in the envelopes, the packs are done!

Now.. for the workshop, this is where the fun begins.

Fabric Choices

The lovely Britt & I went through our fabric boxes, put together what we thought would look lovely and have come up with these combinations...

Thank you Britt for your donations! (All the cute ones are hers).

Welcome Back!

Its 2010, another year has come upon us and this means Project Patchwork is back in action!

This year we will be doing three small quilts, it worked so well last year we thought why not do it again. Two will be simple beautiful quilts which will come with a kit of patterns and fabric. And the other will be a more challenging option of designing and creating your own patch within supplied size constraints and including a piece of supplied fabric which will feature in each patch.

I hope you are all excited to get involved again. If you have any friends or family who would like to be apart of PP this year or if you would like to get involved and aren't already please let me know! Email me at elizabeth@thewilson-s.com.

I will contact those on the mailing list when things get underway. If your not on the mailing list and would like to be, please send me your details.

AND THE WINNERS ARE.....

We had fun drawing the quilt winners.
the pink quilt was won by............Terry of Mornington
For the Blue Willow quilt.....Pauline of Glen Iris
For the Elephant quilt.......... Trinity of Ashburton

and Michael (a new dad) now has a bottle of Grange Hermitage to wet his baby's head.

My Special thanks went to
Arthur for donating the bottle of Penfold's Grange Hermitage
Don (my Dad) for his stoic 7.30am starts at all six market days.
Lizzie (my daughter) for rebranding this blog, all the signage, over 1,000 pretty raffle tickets and she worked on both quilts - quilting the elephant quilt by herself - a fine effort, thank you Liz!
Karlene (my cousin) who sewed for each quilt, helped with quilting and came to the Sunday market and sold many tickets.
My family and friends all helped even though they are busy and very committed with their own lives.

WE RAISED $1600 for Camp Quality Victoria - a very worthy cause and I'm sure a welcome boost to their current fund raising efforts.

NEXT YEAR Lizzie will take PROJECT PATCHWORK nationally and she has exciting plans to include professional craftspeople, as well as our enthusiastic sewers .... but she will update everyone in 2010!
